Company Background

STORM was established in 1989 as a designer, manufacturer and wholesaler of male and female wrist watches which were initially available through a combination of independent stockists and department store concessions. STORM’s product range now includes eyewear and jewellery and STORM operates through franchise partners, wholly owned retail outlets and exports its highly distinctive products to over 40 countries.

The Challenge

Issues with stock control due to inheriting multiple ‘legacy’ POS systems during the rapid expansion

Multiple systems required considerable time inputting and extracting data

Confusion over different styles of receipts and guarantees

Inconsistent branding from different systems

Poor productivity from staff due to manual inputting

The Solution

A single, consistent, scaleable and robust POS system

Suitable for both franchised and wholly owned retail outlets

Automated inputting functions for accurate stock intelligence

Optimum stock levels maintained to minimise storage requirements

Real-time sales and stock reports for over 2000 lines

Ability to highlight best-selling and slower moving products

Company Background

Founded in 1973, Beauty Base is a multi-site retailer selling fragrance and beauty products. Their concept is based on open merchandising, allowing customers to self-select rather than relying on interaction with sales staff. With a relatively small surface area – compared in particular to department stores – Beauty Base is able to carry a vast range of product lines while enabling its customers to browse and choose quickly. They currently have 5 stores in London and the South East.

The Challenge

Each store used a different POS system

Time consuming to extract management information

Human errors being made due to manual stock-taking and re-ordering

Data was not real-time so quickly out of date

Needed a new POS system to expand the company

The Solution

Infinity POS was installed in main store

Easy to use configurable software

Remaining stores followed after successful implementation

System provides a powerful management tool

Real-time sales and stock data available

Company Background

Flowerland is best described as a leading independent ‘Hobby Department Store’, with garden supplies being the largest segment of Flowerland’s 100,000 product lines. Operating from two centres in theThames Valley, Flowerland provides thousands of customers with products from specialist plants, paving stones and barbeque sets, to furniture, lighting and kitchen equipment.

The Challenge

Multiple product lines made volumes, margins and stock-holdings data extraction difficult

Existing system didn’t handle customer orders in the on-site restaurant

Software not integrated with loyalty card scheme

The Solution

Infinity POS system with Microsoft SQL Server technology installed

System can efficiently manage vast portfolio of products

Measurement tools and management reports available

Part-payments and bespoke customer solutions easily managed

Fourteen till points were installed across two locations
