Case Studies
STORM
Company Background
STORM was established in 1989 as a designer, manufacturer and wholesaler of male and female wrist watches which were initially available through a combination of independent stockists and department store concessions. STORM’s product range now includes eyewear and jewellery and STORM operates through franchise partners, wholly owned retail outlets and exports its highly distinctive products to over 40 countries.
The Challenge
- Issues with stock control due to inheriting multiple ‘legacy’ POS systems during the rapid expansion
- Multiple systems required considerable time inputting and extracting data
- Confusion over different styles of receipts and guarantees
- Inconsistent branding from different systems
- Poor productivity from staff due to manual inputting
The Solution
- A single, consistent, scaleable and robust POS system
- Suitable for both franchised and wholly owned retail outlets
- Automated inputting functions for accurate stock intelligence
- Optimum stock levels maintained to minimise storage requirements
- Real-time sales and stock reports for over 2000 lines
- Ability to highlight best-selling and slower moving products
